Auxiliary power evacuation
Evacuation after a lift emergency
Once a blackout occurs all lifts that feature an auxiliary power supply system travel - either simultaneously or in turn - to the next or alternatively to a pre-set stop (normally ground-floor) and remain there.
The passengers may now disembark and the lift either ceases its operation or is further operated on auxiliary power. The power supply is then provided either by battery or emergency generator.
