What is a counterweight in lifts?
Frames that carry concrete, barite, steel and in some cases lead.
It completely balances the weight of the car and the supporting frame plus half of the lifting capacity of the car.
Therefore, the power of the engine that is required on average is about the same, irrespective of the car’s loading condition. Accordingly, the smallest amount of power is required if the car carries only half of its maximum loading capacity.
