Remote monitoring

Objectives of remote monitoring in lifts

The operator of a lift system is bound to commission a versed and briefed person – the lift caretaker – to check the lift at regular intervals, (e.g. on a weekly basis).

Some lift manufacturers offer, as an alternative, to effect this check by means of electronic add-on modules.
Malfunctions are relayed to a support centre that is on duty 24 hours a day.

Advantage: The manufacturer can now respond quicker, thanks to the accelerated work flow which in turn reduces downtimes.
